Dose response of gluconic acid doped Fricke gels irradiated with X-rays

Adjusting the dose of radiation which is received by a cancer patient during radiotherapy very important. The use dosimetric gels to calculate applied distribution three- dimensionally current research topic in radiotherapy. In this study, 16 different Fricke including gluconic acid (GA) were produced. These irradiated from 0 250 cGy with increments 50 cGy. MR intensity values and images, UV absorbance FT-IR spectra obtained before after irradiation process. showed linear increase relation amount ferrous sulfate GA content gels. oxidation iron increases as result interaction hydrogen peroxide product process GA, thus response gel becomes more effective.
